Our approach

Our Practical Life programme involves everyday activities such as spooning, pouring, using dressing frames, and buckling. These activities teach children how to care for themselves and their environment. Through Practical Life experiences, children develop self-help skills, fostering independence, concentration, coordination, and responsibility.

Sensorial activities help children explore and refine their senses through hands-on experiences. Using materials that highlight differences in shape, size, texture, colour, weight, and sound, children learn to observe, compare, classify, and identify patterns. These activities sharpen observation skills and build a strong foundation for thinking, reasoning, and learning.

At our centre, children begin their mathematical journey by exploring quantity through hands-on materials such as number rods, counters, and golden beads. As their understanding develops, they are introduced to number symbols and written numerals. This process helps children develop strong number sense, logical thinking skills, and a solid foundation for everyday problem-solving.

Language development unfolds naturally, beginning with rich conversations and sound awareness before progressing to reading and writing through a strong phonetic approach. Children explore letter sounds using materials such as sandpaper letters and the movable alphabet to build words and early literacy skills. This hands-on and engaging process fosters a love of language, builds confidence, and provides a strong foundation for reading and writing, supporting a smooth transition to primary school.

Cultural activities help children develop an understanding of the world through hands-on experiences, exploration, and storytelling. Geography, science, nature, history, culture, and diversity are all essential components of the curriculum, guiding children to appreciate the interconnectedness of people, places, and the environment around them.
